| I bought a celebrity cs2400 limited edition 2001, 2 years ago.
It seams this model (cs2400) does not exist !!!
I cant find it anywhere on the web and the ovation support is not answering my emails !!!
Is it a fake ovation ? The table is made in bird's eye maple and it has "ovation 2001" on the 12th fret. It is made in Korea. I bought it in France (I'm french) about 1000 dollars in 2001.
If anybody has a idea about this, please answer. |

As for an answer to your question it is very hard if not impossible to find anything about the Celebrities (Korean imports) model numbers, features and such. The Ovation website just supports the USA made Ovations. That does not mean that your Ovation is "fake" or that you are any less welcome on this board. Do a search on "Korean" or "imports" and see what comes up!
Maybe one of the other members of the OFC has some info that might help you!!

Location: The Great Pacific Northwest | This question comes up often and I'm not sure the reason why there isn't any tracking information on the imports has been explained, so here is a significant part of the reason. The Made in the USA models are under Warantee from the factory. Somewhere near the end of the process the model/serial info is recorded so if there is a problem, the owner just call Customer Support and they can just look it up. The original owner has a lifetime Warantee on most models I think (I'm not the acoustic guy remember). The imports warantee is held only by the store that sells the guitar. Ovation has no need to have this information other than 1000 guitars shipped, 1000 guitars sold. |
