Location: Houston, TX | I was picking up one of my guitars from the shop today and the owner showed me a Viper III that someone had brought it for some work. The pickguard was gone, and the bridge p/u had been replaced with a humbucking p/u. He said Ovation wanted $100 for the pickguard, and didn't have any of the original Viper pickups to sell him. I can understand about the pick-up, but $100 seems a little steep for the pickguard - but that's just me.
Anyway, I thought I would post to the board and see if anyone (Samova?, Miles?) might have a pickup and/or a pickguard to sell to Kevin at the shop so he can help restore the Viper to original spec.
