Hi
I have always been impressed with the sound, the workmanship and the durability of Ovations. I know there are some drawbacks, but my question is, if these guitars are as attractive as I think they are, why dont't more people make this concept ?

Is it patented ?

Or,is the process of making and attaching the back too inefficient (expensive) to attract the average maker of mass produced guitars ?

It doesn't seem likely that the process is secret, and competitors cannot figure it out.
