Location: morro bay, ca | I just got back from Hawaii last week, and picked
a brand new cp-744 koa ovation celebrity. It is a
tiny bit smaller than a ballader, with a sweet sounding koa wood top. it has two opposing palm tree cutouts for the sound hole, and plays amazingly well.
It has the new style pre-amp, with a built-in tuner.
I don't know if the guy at the music store was feeding me a line, but he claims this guitar is only
available in Hawaii. |

Location: Toronto, Canada | Sounds like a nice one. Koa looks real good! I'd love to see a pic if you have one.

Location: NJ | It is not unusual for Ovation to offer a particular guitar to a particular market. The Adamas I and textured top guitars have been available to the asian and european market but not in the US aside from special orders. |

Location: Scotland | I've heard of Koa-topped Ukes exclusively for the Hawaiian market. There was a Guitar Centre Elite a while ago with a Koa top, laminated unfortunately.
Sounds like the soundhole config is similar to the Reso we saw on the tour.

Location: California | Hello folks!
I'm new to the boards but I immediately focused-in on this topic when I saw it. I'd also love to see a koa-wood Ovation. Looking forward to the pics when you can get them. |
