Location: 6 String Ranch | They both came out at the same time. The viper was an acoustic trying to nbe an electric and the DuoTone was an electric trying to be an acoustic. Actually Hamer made the prototype Viper. The Viper is nice and all that but I'd get the DuoTone, you have a whole nuther guitar with it. It is the shorter scale but what's 3/4"? |

I understand that the Duotone on the left is one of only two built with mini-buckers. I have replace the bridge pickup on the Duotone on the right with a Duncan Phatcat (bucker sized P90) and put a cover over the neck pickup (I prefer covers on my guitars pickups). |

Location: NJ | the phat cat is the Hamer p 90 in a HB sized cavity. it is great and the guitar Nightwolf posted is really cool with the phatcat and p 90. as for minibuckers....I think they are the best!!!! |
