Very good deal. When I have nothing better to do, I sometimes play around with intentional misspellings or abbreviations on eBay to see what I can come up with. Example: 'Chevy' will get you a lot more hits than Chevolet. And Dotsun will find you Datsun parts that others buyers don't see.

On this auction, the simple omission of 'T' on VXT doomed the seller to a low price and made some buyer very happy. (If you were plugging Ovation VXT into the search engine, this one would not have showed up.) If it had been listed correctly, it would — IMHO — have sold for much more. So watch yer Ps and Qs, sellers.

Sometimes I have trouble with my vowels. But spellchuck or not I feel I had a pretty good eBay weekend.

Made good deals with some OFC friends, bought a 1537 and sold a 1124 and a Giannini at a good price.

Is this how it feels to be Alpepon a good day?

There have been a couple of cheap VXT's in the last few months.
One of which Miles is "axe sitting" for me.
You can borrow it if you want to try one out.

Maybe I'll take a drive up north next weekend. WHen are you planning on having him ship it over there?

Somebody did get a terrific bargain here. Anybody try one of the newer models with the single coils?

Now that is killing me! I have no need for another electric but I'm trying to make one up, fast.

My last visit to GC, they had one for $700. I thought it might have been their demo model, since I don't think they ever sold any of them here. I don't use the 2 electrics I got, but that was tempting, if it was a new one with a full warranty.

At Musician's Friend prices a pair of Duncan 59s will cost you $180 and a Fishman Powerbridge will cost you $170-$250 (without the Aura imaging.)
At $600 you're getting a hell of a guitar for $200.
Current UK street price of a VXT is £1049.99 or around $2000.
Some things haven't changed under Fender.
