Location: Madison, Wisconsin | Help! My Legend began makeing strange noises this past weekend. It sounds like a blown speaker which is what I thought it was while I was playing but have since discovered that it is the guitar. I changed the battery and strings on Friday but didn't notice anything until I played on Sunday thru the PA. I have since put another new battery in but it still sounds like a little mixed in distortion. The only other thing is the strings. Has anyone ever had a "faulty" set of strings? It has the Optima preamp. Any ideas? |

Maybe something got loosened during the string/battery change? |

Once identified I just soldered the wire back on, problem solved. So that's the first thing I'd check, my wire conections, starting from the pickup all the way thru to the wire you plug your amp. Could be you just need a new amp cable.
Good Luck. |
