Location: NJ | Just noticed on the Ovation webpage that there is a new "mini page" (their term) for the M.O.B.
It also features an absolutely GLOWING testimonial for the guitar by Paul Hebert!

Location: SoCal | Maybe I'm not as old as I thought. As I wondered thru this page, I found myself liking this guitar more and more. But I would make one change to it. In the openning picture, from the headstock, it doesn't look like the guitar player is playing a MOB. |

When I initially opened the case, I had just got done re-stringing my Elite-T, and also noodling my 2001 Collectors, so yes the MOB wasn't as stellar sounding at that moment. But since then, I have had it out, and it makes a GREAT studio guitar, and I will probably bring it camping too. It has that "Ovation" projection going on, and it's sturdy, and a conversation piece. |

Location: NJ | I saw one in the store but didn't have the time to pick it up. It DOES catch your eye and instill curiosity. Had I the extra "scratch", I'd probably get one for the beach or outdoor summer gigs (it'd look REALLY cool on a stand next to one o' those teal "palm tree" reso's!).
Probably the only addendum I'd make to the overall design would be a snap-on plastic cover for the controls to keep sand/water/rum out of the sliders and such. |

Location: Tennessee | Miles ... do you have the -47 or the -57? Did you try both? Thoughts on differences in sound?
I haven't found one to try out in my local stores ... either they're not being stocked or they're flying out the doors. |

Location: The Great Pacific Northwest | I have the -47, and I did not compare. Although I don't play acoustics often, I have only owned Ovations since 1975, and I seem to have a hard time holding the super-shallow models. Mid's seem just right for me. |

Location: Lafayette, Louisiana | Cliff, Ovation still has not contacted me for a review of the MOB. (lol) I did find out that Ovations head of Engineering and R&D Darren Wallace is from my hometown, so maybe he will contact me. Just picking, I got an email from him today and he seems to be a very nice guy. Gota go, I have a review to write! (lol)..Paul Hebert |

I love the beach, and I love any guitar that can take being wailed in a sandy mileau (French). I intend to surf in on an M.O.B. at La Jolla beach as soon as I settle my accident injuries, I will test it's board abilities to the limit, and I might try using it to hang glide the Torrey Pines cliffs. i.e., swooshing down those cliffs with a MOB under my body to keep me off the rocks. I'm looking forward to the review by Adamasguy.
