I just received a Celebrity CC026 as a gift. I'd like to find out if the OP20 preamp will work as a replacement for my stock OP11 in this guitar. Any help would be great, thanks.

Is the OP11 the same shape as the OP 20 or is it the rectangular shape? I've always thought that the reason Ovation went to the new modular design was to facilitate upgrades.

Paul,

It's the kidney shape. They look identical except for model differences, but then it's hard to tell scale from the pictures. I figured from the specs they list that it should work, I just don't want to waste the bones if it doesn't. Thanks for the reply.

Mike

You need to check with Ovation customer service next week when they get back from vacation.

I may be thinking of the OP2B in the Applause guitars, but is the Op11 passive? If so the output jack and connections to the preamp holder would need to be changed also.
