Hello everyone!

Can anyone tell me how old my Ovation is?

It's a 1117-4 model with s/n 9793 marked on wood.

I didn't find this serial number on Ovation Databse.

Many Thanks

I'm guessing here but probably in the early 1970's, maybe 1973.

When Ovation was using a 4 digit serial number, they were not making the Legend, model 1117. The 4 digit serial number was used in late 67 until mid 68.

I suspect that there should be two zeros in front of that 4 digit number. It's the only thing I can think of (and hey, I'm still on my first cup of coffee!) that makes sense.

So I think you guitar is probably about 30 years old.
