Thanks, Paul.

Knowing that you got a laugh out of it (the way a lot of us did) made it worth getting called on the carpet over it. Like I said, it was all in fun.

thx.

Al;

I just ran a SEARCH on "dang".

58 total!

I only had time to check one

- came from Paul Hebert :)

Actually, on March 28th Norsey started an entire THREAD entitled "DANG!". Go figure.

When I was a freshman in college I was a political science major. I had a professor that was from North Carolina. For the first month of classes I could not understand ONE WORD HE SAID!!!! I sat there and copied the notes of my friend next to me and kept saying "Huh? Wha? Did you get that?" I really could not understand him his accent was so thick.
After four years of working with the man and being one of his star pupils I could understand the thickest of southern accents. In fact if I spent too much time with Dr. Harrison I would start talking in a drawl myself.
BUT I NEVER EVER SAID "dang"

If any fellow "NorthJerseyans" are interested, Kaki's playing tomorrow (Sat.) at the Waterloo Village concert field in Allamuchy, NJ.

Also on the bill are: Disco Biscuits, Flaming Lips, Medeski Martin & Wood, and String Cheese Incident.

As much as I'd like to finally get to see her (and it's really "local" for me), I can't see forking over $50/ticket to stand in an outdoor field (general admission) while the weather forecast calls for yet ANOTHER soggy (like the past 8!) day.

Personally, I'll wait for a quiet NYC club with a comfy chair under me and a $10 drinkie-poo in front of me.

Thanks for the tip. A friend of mine told me about that show months ago, but I declined. As much as I'd like to see her, I thought that catching her in the city another time would include a longer set in a more intimate venue, and possibly a cheap bite and a drink for that same $50. She's the kind of player I would appreciate experience close up.

Kaki's playing two more shows at the Northstar Bar in Phili on the 12th & 19th. Hopefully with her Adamas, but a good show without, none the less. Very, very upclose and personal. You could stand 2ft from the stage if you'd like. Come as you are type joint, with $10 cover, reasonable drink prices and selection, and no-smoking.
