Location: atlanta		My daughter, Kaki King, appeared earlier this month at the Ouro Preto Brazil Jazz Festival. This photo (courtesy of the promoter) gives a good look at her new custom-made Adamas II 1581 cutaway.

After trying a similar looking Adamas 12 string at Al's (but a shallowbowl) I have an itch to get one. It may take a while!

Location: Las Cruces, NM		Great picture, and it is very nice to see that she is playing the brand of instrument that we all revere, there was a little fear that she might go for something more "modern", and break a few hearts here. Tell her that we all love her and to keep on truckin', she is certainly an original in her style and deserving of the praise she has gotten.

Location: UK		Great picture, also interesting to me because I have a similar 1990 Adamas II cutaway with holes only on one side.

Did she choose this configuration for any particular reason, e.g. better control of feedback?

PS Must track down her CD!

Popcritic isnt the only proud pop. Rick Hall came and asked John Budny if we could build an Adamas to resemble her stolen one. So service jumped to the challenge and gave birth to her baby. I like the rosewood fingerboard.
