Location: Knoxville,TN. | I would lke to order an adamas 1687, now that you've all told me they are still available. My problem is there's no good Ovation dealers in town. Anyone on the forum a dealer that canget me some info/ prices and time for completion? Also, anyone have pics of a 1687 made recently; do they look the same? thanks- |

Location: SoCal | I haven't used Al's services yet but I have checked out his inventory before I have bought a guitar [see Lost Art/Vintage Instruments link when you first log onto OFC or screenname ALPEP]. I have bought five Ovations (three Custom Legends, a Viper bass, and a Balladeer) this year.
However, I am impressed enough that the next guitar I buy (probably an Adamas) - I will either buy from his stock or ask him to find it for me. Check out the posts - his heart is in it. |

If you want to look at a great Adamas, look on Al's wwebsite and check out the Adamas model number W587t-7. Ebony fingerboard, old style Adamas top, but a bit unlike the old tops, mid depth bowl. It was made for the export market. I played one of these in Hollywood and had a tough time walking away from it. If you're looking for an Adamas, and are considering the new ones, I'd take a serious look at this guitar.
And as has been noted, Al is a good guy to do business with. His prices are competitive, and I'd just as soon support him as a big chain store. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | You may like the look of the old walnut fingerboards, but the ebony is far superior in every other way in my opinion. I have an old walnut one and it really shows the wear. Dave |
