Random quote: “Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything.” -Plato

I just read a story that I will post at the end of this. After reading it , it reminded me of a friend of mine who I work with on a regular basis.About once a month I work with a Rep for one of the companies I sell for and we always seem to take an hour or so and stop at a Guitar shop and play a few of the high end accoustics that we always wanted but could never pull the coin out to buy one.So after about 10 stops in a year at our local Guitar Center my friend says Im buying this Gibson J-200 that he was always drawn to.He makes the deal and says he wants it taken off the wall and have new strings put on it and he will pick it up that evening. All is well until he calls me that night to tell me that he went back that evening to pick his guitar up and the youngster behind the guitar counter seemed really nervous and says that there was a slight accident .He explains that when one of the guys were taking it into the back of the store to restring it he tripped and fell on it and crushed the top.He then proceeded to show him the guitar. My buddy said he just about puked on the guy when he saw it and told him to take that guitar and use it for fireplace kindling. The youngster kept trying to reassure him that they would get it fixed for him but to no avail. He than went down the road to our local independant guitar store and found one there but he did have to pay $100.00 more but he was happy once again.
Now you want to talk about bad luck check this out. GWB

I don't bowl much anymore, but the stress of a 300 game would probably kill me too.

Maybe that's the reason I can never nail that amazing solo. The sheer joy and elation of doing so could be harmful to my health.

I'll stick to mediocrity.

And GWB, you're buddy SHOULD have puked on that guy
