Take a look at the epaulets on this guitar. Someone really had a heavy hand with a pick to tear them up that much. I don't see how someone can scratch them up that much. It's ashame to see such a nice guitar have that kind of damage. If I had it I would send it back to Kim and have the epaulet changed.

This is a unique model in that I've never seen it in any Ovation catalog. I did see Glen Campbell on Nashville Now about 7-8 years ago (with Jimmy Webb) play one and I've never seen that model number before.

I have an '85 6-page fold-out catalog which shows this model. It's basically a slightly stripped-down version of the 1537 Elite which was the top-of the range wood-topped multi-hole at that time. Very similar guitar except for rosewood instead of walnut fingerboard, 2-piece epaulettes & chrome rather than gold tuners.
