| Yesterday I heard a radio ad from Guitar Center. They are having some sort of "mega sale" and the radio ad listed around 20 sale examples. The listed included "50% off all Ovation acoustic electric guitars".
I am not in the market for a new O, so I am not doing any follow-up. Perhaps someone else in the OFC wants to make a few phone calls and get the scoop on this.
I don't know if this is a local, regional or national sale. I heard the ad on a New York City station.

Location: Houston, Texas | I got the flyer in the mail. Just like all of their other flyers. This one they call "Gear Fest".
The half-off Ovations are super shallow Celebrities described as having a two piece nato neck, a rosewood fretboard and some pre-amp they call the DJ-4.
Hmm, I thought even the cheap imported celebrities had mahogany necks and OP-20 preamps. At least I think they did several years ago. The model is CC-057, I think. I'll have to go look them up.
They list the retail price as $599.50, on sale now for $299.99, just like always. The flyer makes no mention of any other Ovations at half-off. :( |
