Location: south east Michigan | I have been entertained and educated being part of this board. Aside from my purchase from the OFC store, I wondered what else I might offer in return.
I have a few "unique" songs in my collection. Judging from the "What do you......?" type threads lately, it looks like many of us like the same music. If you send me your snail mail location I would be glad to send you a disc.
(I searched the OFC Board on song & file sharing while concidering doing this....more later)
In 2000, The Who came to Detroit. From a ligit site called "music.com" I was able to buy an official bootleg taken right from the mixing board. This was the last time Entwistle played Detroit. I have seen every Detroit Who show since 1970. This one was the best and it sounded great.
Also, I have Townshend & Eddie Vedder playing "Heart to Hang Onto" on David Letterman. And, Paul Simon & George Harrison playing "Homeward Bound" on SNL.
Now....The Who made these "bootlegs" available for purchase on the net. All procceds went to help kids with cancer. You can no longer buy these songs. If you ask for, keep, and enjoy this disc I beleive all karma issues would be served with a donation in the next money jug you see for a local sick child.
The Who asked that you not put these songs in a file that is shared over the internet.
I did download the two other songs from the net. If I could have bought them, I would.
My intent is not to bring up a well covered issue. Search the OFC board and you will find plenty of opinions on file sharing & Napster.
Let me know if you want one.
