I thought you'd given up drinking OMA, have you relapsed since the Election result?

I am always AMAZED how good a plugged in ovation is. also, if you have a gut - it may conflict with the roundness of the ovation, so good reason to diet :)

Then someone mentioned that they do that when you hug it too hard with the strumming arm. Viola, problem 99% solved. It still rolled a little bit up, but I got used to it after a couple of weeks. I tried a contour bowl at the Guitar Center last year. Early in the summer one of my daughters bought a 2078T with the contour bowl. They sure felt odd, unlike a "normal" Ovation roundback. Then, Al made me buy a 2007 Collectors with the contour bowl. It felt kinda strange at first. It didn't roll face up at all. It was easier on the fretting hand due to less wrist angle, but felt different, especially when standing. It took a couple of weeks, but then it felt completely normal. Moral of the story, both bowls will feel totally normal after you play them a bit.

It does seem to be a new model that MF is clearing out. I wonder if Ovation is dropping them already? Glad I found this site. I'm looking forward to getting to know y'all and learn more about Ovation guitars. (actually I had an Ovation Trekker a few years ago.)

The 2078LX is about the same as the 2178. And the 2771LX is very similar to the 2171. The major difference being about $200-$400 (depending on the store). If they are not gonna build Elites and Balladeers in the US, it would not make sense to assemble Ultras in the US... Or, at least not those models. (Anybody with a better thought, please share it. :D )
