The best thing is to let him find his price. And if he keeps setting it too high, well then, he'll just give us more to snicker about. But let's leave him alone.

If my lawyer were to suddenly present me with a nice accident settlement and all the Breadwinners were gone, $2400 would not seem like too much to pay for a guitar that will never be produced again in my short lifetime. If I can get one cheaper, fine, but I don't have the money right now. Bailey

I e-mailed him to remind him that this is a Franken-Breadwinner....and to see if he would take less. LOL!! Lest I remind the roaring crowd, I have owned and collected nothing BUT Ovations since 1967. Don't you think I want to see the value go up on my own collection? So pipe down you goobers!! :D ;) It was a phuqen joke!

When I saw the guitar on ebay, I just laughed to myself at the guy, but I was thinking about my Deacon. I paid a fair price, maybe even low, but if somebody came up to me and said "What would you take for that guitar?", I think I'd say something high like that for the same reason... I'd rather not part with it, and I'm surely not going to lose it for $700. And I know a lot of you are really acoustic guys, but am I missing something? Is there a mention of Deacons and Breadwinners on ovationguitarsdotcom that I just haven't found? jas
