Just bought one on ebay for $466.It's an FRG...seller said it had an electronics problem. Anyway,I don't care about that. I've been intrigued by this little guitar for a while...very different look and sound from any other Ovations. And a really cool case! Someone recently said in one of these postings that when considering buying an older Ovation, one should ask the question " can this guitar still be made today.Could you special order it from the factory, and at what price." It doesn't seem likely that they'd make one of these again if I asked...special bowl, special case, special everything really. If any of you have one of these little beauties,I'd like to hear anything you have to say about them. Thanks. John. '02 CL 12 string.

You got a good deal... There's one here in Tulsa at a O dealer that they took on trade that is in cherry condition.... They're asking $799 for it...
Damn nice guitar... good job...

Another 12-fret slot-head, the '97 is my absoulte favourite collectors edition, I should never have sold mine. Let down only by the ludicrous "touch-sensitive" preamp.

I got my 97 collector last December. This guitar is just a pleasure. The sound, the feel, it is just a great guitar. I think the electronics are fun as well and I have used them out with little difficulty. Not been able to notice the electronics is part of the charm.

Also someone on an earlier post said the the endplug was a problem with the guitar and a lot went back. Minor problem but they then became factory refurbished. So you got a very good deal.

Not being able to see at a glance where the output level is set is a total pain in the ass and completely impractical onstage
