Tony won out a furious eBay bidding battle for a really sweet Adamas M1687-7, including withstanding a challenge from Al. Tony, please let us know how it sounds when you get it.

Tony, great guitar. Mine was a 1687-5 made in 1981. You will love this guitar. :D

Thank you...
Sweating it at the end; even talked to Kim today about the guitar and Adamas in general. Last bidder that pushed it up - his last eBay purchase was a 1941 Martin. He pushed it up to within $50 of my max bid. All I can tell you is go in with as much as you are willing/able to pay, then let it ride.

Al,

No quarrel there.... Tony told me you extended the courtesy of letting him know the bid was coming. You and I have batted some bids about on Adamas before, too. "It's not personal; it's business." ;)

And in honor of Tony, let's all join in the chorus:

"Ride, ride, ride, let it ride!"
