Remember that picture of the "applause strat" with the mirror behind the neck?
Somehow I managed to stumble upon this thing while browsing ebay. Have a look.

Very interesting thing. I saw some very odd stringed intruments at an antique/used junk store auction last weekend. I didn't know what most of them were but they were fun to look at, kinda like this little oddity.

That's the sort of thing that might appeal to a collector of unusual instruments, but would have little value to a musician. The 20's and 30's were full of "inventors" who were searching for the next big thing after the auto and the telephone, this one didn't make it.
