I wonder if Bill has a copy of that for himself. again , it would be a neat keepsake. I don't know whether or not he really cares about that sort of thing. But it's way Cool! Thanks for sharing!

I also always enjoyed seeing the series of quite garish boots worn in these adds over the years too. Looking through old Guitar Player issues from 92 and 93, the Collectors only seem to appear in the grainy B&W adds with Richie Sambora, Kirk Pingiley noodling on them near the water rather than specific "Collectors" ads where you can actually see the guitar and get a speil on it.

It was the first 'super shallow bowl' I saw (it may have been the first one offered - not sure). I got it at Mandolin Bros on Staten Island along with a 12 string Pacemaker at the same time. They still sound and play great. And yes, in 1983 I was single :p

I still find the ad Rather interesting. the seller may have already known the info and I hope they took it well as I was only trying to be helpful.

Rather than a page out of a pulp magazine stuck in a $13.99 frame - is there a source for downloading any of these ads? If there were a collection of scanned images on a CD I would love to get a hold of it! For the price of a CD in the OFC store today I would gladly pay you back on T-u-u-uesday (PayPal accepted)! I can scan and copy. I can copy and scan. Any interest in such a Project?

I believe there is a black and white photo from the same shoot (without cwk2) in the Walter Carter Ovation book, page 95. My wife and I have tickets to see Heart here in the Detroit area in August and I am REALLY looking forward to it...never seen them before! Roger

Being a big fan of Nancys (and of course her sister), and also owning one of those guitars, I just felt like I had to have it. By the way, if you haven't seen them live (I haven't either), get the DVD "Alive in Seattle". It's a recording (video) of a concert there in 2002. Only way I can descride it is INCREDIBLE ! beatlejuice

Never really cared what she looked like, I could listen to her voice forever. And Nancy's is pretty good , too. Do they need a bass player, lol? Beatlejuice
