Location: NJ | Well trading was swift between dealers as usual. There were fewer exporters than usual and I suspect that had something to do with the dip in the yen this past week.
Attendance with the general public was lighter than usual. So light in fact, that after saturday many dealers pulled out. I have NEVER seen this at the philly show before. Tons of tire kickers and bottom feeders though. Which never make the event fun.
My amp repair guy brought me 6 amps and two of them took a dump as I was about to sell them, so that made it really stressful.
Pulled my back out taking a Fender twin out of the truck and that plagued me the entire weekend. Got home last night after the show, unloaded the truck, ordered a pizza, made a nice stiff rum and coke and fell asleep.....
like a said another show ....over... |

Location: NJ | I started vintage guitar shows in 84 or 85 with the first New York guitar show. Looks like I am on my 20th year anniv of guitar shows.....the stories I can tell!!!!!
anyway, it is fun but it is also business and that puts it in a serious light.
I have met some great people, many famous people and made some very good friends over the years. I have also met some of the scum of the earth. |
