Location: RI. That small State out East | I play a Legend 1756 exclusively "never" plugged in. What, if anything would happen to the acoustic output if I removed all the guts?
This is a 1989 model in great shape. I assume it will weigh less. Does anyone know how much less?
Taking out the "clutter" inside the bowel... Will it impact the projection?
I think I know the answer. Just want the experts to give an opinion.

Others here will disagree, but YES removing the guts will improve the sound. It is just plain sense. A big box of electronics inside the cavity does have some effct on how sound waves propagate. I gutted the 2 knobber electronics from one of my adamas guitars and was pleased with the result. If nothing else it makes the guitar much more balanced to hold. |

It's only got the two small holes by the neck, so the potential effect is hardly an issue. Now, replacement of braces- that's another thing, altogether...... |
