Just dropped by a local shop, and checked out this Applause, expecting to see Korea. Sounded tinny. Why should I have been surprised by the fact that it was made in China? Everything else is. |

Does Ovation still use handbuilding to an extent in New Hartford? Or has that gone the way of the Dodo? |

Location: Tampa, Florida | There is still a ton of handbuilding done on the USA Ovations. All of the fret setting, inlay work, binding, glueing, neck setting. Check out the gallery for all of the pics of the Ovation factory tour for pics of the work. I didn't realize Applause were bing made in China. I have a brand new Applause Uke that was made in Korea. |
