Location: Tampa, FL | I purchased a 2003 Collectors Edition and I'm wondering if the sound will change/improve as the guitar ages.
What are your thoughts given the body is mostly a resin.

The top is solid so yes it will age and age very nicely. You'll be pleased at how it opens up. |

Location: south east Michigan | However...This will happen over many years....right? My guess is that in the first months your playing will "open up" more than the guitar. I know my style has changed since my new Ovation arrived.
If months can make a difference then the guitar that has languished on the rack for a year should be more desirable. (?????)

Don't think that would apply to an Adamas, though. Or would it????

Location: Fayetteville, NC | I'm sure this has been mentioned before, But it bears repeating just as a reminder..A Solid Top Guitar will only open up and age if you play it. The more the solid Top Vibrates-Year after year..it Ages or "Opens UP" The key is Playing it and not leaving it on a stand, or in it's case unplayed. |

I agree.
With the Ovation it will take longer. Martins age rapidly that way......but you have to play guitars for them to age and improve in resonation |
