there is a company named graph tech that is making solid body saddles to lessen the string breakage at the string saddle interface. that has been a problem for me since i palm mute with sweaty hands and it is rere for me to get two gigs out of the unwound strings with the brass saddles. the nylon saddles on my breadwinner allow ME to decide when to change the strings.

i sent photos to the grapktec tech guy, but if anyone knows what saddles would interchange with the brass ukII saddles (both bridge styles) i think a solution to the problem is at hand.

graphtech.com is where you can see them, as well as the electronics and piezo saddles i'm using in the midi project guitar i'm building.
