Location: Madison, Wisconsin | The Cowsills playing the National Anthem at the New York/Boston game this evening. When they showed them on the side of the field before they sang, you could see the Ovation bowl and headstock but during the performance, the headstock of one of the guitars was covered with a hat and the Ovation headstock was never shown in the frame. Suppose neither one of the guitar manufactures wanted to pay FOX for the air time? |

Location: Midland, MI | I'm not familiar with 'The Cowsills' (at least that I know of). Who plays with a hat over the headstock? Seems like you'd loose a bit of sustain that way, not to mention have something flopping around while you're trying to play. I'm going with the 'didn't pay the placement fee' angle, too. |

Location: Madison, Wisconsin | My wife is one of the most tone deaf people I know. While the gang was singing, she yelled down from the kitchen and wanted to know who was singing so out of key. They were that bad. |

| The Cowsills? The Rain the park and Other Things, Hair, Love American Style. They were some brothers in a band and it all started coming together when mom sang along as a band member. Their story is what inspired The Partridge Family. If I'm not mistaken, their family was offered the The Partridge Family show, but they would have had to dump their mom in favor of Shirley Jones. They declined the offer. |
