Location: NC | I recently bought Schaller tuner buttons in ebony color model/part # 3059 from a store. These do not fit the Ping tuners as told to me when I contacted Ovation. So don't buy them thinking they will. I simply returned them for credit. I wish I knew who had ebony tuner buttons that would work. Ovation told me that there were no OEM replacements to date. The search goes on! |

Location: Upper Left USA | I think I lead you that way but I still think I'm right. The tuners should fit but you need to utilize the original screws and notthose that came with.
Here's the Stewmac set and a pic of my Elite LX with them on.

Location: Florida | Of course, if you wanted a perfect fit, the Schaller tuners are an exact line up with the holes for the Ping (or should I say Ping fits Schaller holes). |

Location: NW NJ | I just installed pearloid Schaller buttons from Stewart MacDonald on my 6778LX and, when using the screws that came on the Elite originally, they work perfectly. Could the pearloid ones fit differently than the eboly ones? |

Location: Tennessee | I just ran the experiment on my 2000 Collectors which has Pings. I put a set of pearloids on it, and although some folks here said they wouldn't fit, they do indeed fit fine and have been on for over a year without any problems.
I took a 3059 Ebony button that I installed on my Viper (with Shallers) and tried it on the 2000. At first it slipped, but as I gently kept torquing it down (slowly) and experiencing some minor slippage, it eventually seated properly and worked through a couple of rounds of alternate tunings and re-tunings without issue or any slippage. I did use the original screws, not the ones that came with the buttons. |

Location: NC | Guys....thanks for the feedback........may go with the Pearloid one's afterall. The Ebony slipped constantly and that was using original screws and slowly tightening them down. Thanks for feedback. :D |
