Location: Mesquite,TX | I recently bought a 12 string Ovation at a pawn shop with its original hardshell case. It's serial # is 242166 which to my understanding it was made in 1981. Any info would be appreciated. |

That's the serial number and it does show that the guitar was built in 1981. The model number would be on the upper right side of the oval label inside the guitar. If there's no label, then post a picture or two. |
