Location: Solano County | I am thinking about selling my Ovation But am still researching all the details of it. I bought it in SanFrancisco/Haight-Ashbury for I beleive, 1,200. It is a BEAUTIFUL, fine work of craftmanship- Made in USA,mother of pearl inlay, deep bowl, brass keys, black colour with a really nice three-band equalizer factory pick up built in. I (think) I bought it in 86-87. I do still have the original paper work for it stuffed somewhere in my filing cabinet. I LOVE this guitar-I have had many of fun and outstanding performances/recordings with it. It does have a bit of wear on it and has a slight crack on the face of the paint-NOT the wood. Still plays like it is new and looks TERRIFIC. Is anyone out there interested in this type ovation? Let me know and I would happily send pictures and discuss with you what a fair price is! |

Location: Solano County | Yeah, I have been seeing listings of either "custom Legends" or simply, "Legend" I don't know if there is a difference. My Ovation reads "Legend" 1717 Kaman Music produdcts. Thanks for the info. If you know much about this type Ovation, I would love any feed back you might have on it!
Thank you kindly,

Location: SoCal | A 1717 is a deep bowl, non cutaway Legend. It's a very good guitar. Not as fancy as the Custom Legend, but still very good. |

Thank you for your help! No, my Legend has brass turning keys-and a bit of wear and tear but oh-so-beautiful still. So I guess it must be a Legend-not a Custom. Thank you for that tip!!
Hey-and I DO love Chicago!!!

Location: Solano County | Thanks Cliff, for letting me know that-I thought I did recall when I bought it that I was told that the keys were "gold-plated" |
