Thank you, all of you, who have become friends here on the board. Thank you for the good advice, the new music that you share, the insights into human nature. Thank you for the knowledge you've shared so willingly. Thank you for the hugs you've sent when I needed them, for the wonderful humor and the heart-warming camaraderie that makes this place so special.

Location: South of most, North of few | Right back at ya Karen. We are in Tenn now away from home, but cooking a turkey anyway. Having a wonderful time. Had a couple of visits with Capo guy and his wife. Wouldn't have ever met him if not for this site, and I'm grateful for that in itself, not to mention all the other friendships I've forged here. |

There is nothing like meeting and hugging those that 'give' of themselves. Here's hoping that we all continue to have the opportunity to share and support each other!

Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | Yes, this is quite a family...we are having our Turkey Day feast tomorrow as Violetta worked last night and tonight...but I am thankful for the friends on this board; for the good times we have when we get together and for the way Ovation guitars have helped us reach around the world overcoming borders and cultures....pretty special group in this day and age...Thanks Beal, CWK, Miles, and Al...
And let me say it this once: Blessings to you all!

Location: big island | with daylight savings time now over, we are 6 hours behind east coast time. many of you were enjoying your turkey/ham/salmon/tofu while my family was still asleep. at the moment, the aroma of roasting turkey is now wafting through our home and i just finished peeling the potatoes for a pot of sour cream mashed. mashed style potatoes are not so popular here in the islands as most folks enjoy rice or boiled okinawan purple sweet potatoes and boiled taro (from which poi can be made). got the whole berry cranberry sauce mixed with crushed pineapple and mandarin oranges chillin' in the fridge and the wife is currently concocting the stuffing. we'll celebrate with about 12 family members this year. i tend to enjoy Thanksgiving much more than Christmas and it is with a grateful heart that i send my warmest aloha and wishes to each of you, my friends, met and unmet, here on the OFC forum. |

Location: Florida Central Gulf Coast | Well, being as stuffed as ol' Tom, I took OMAs advice and had a nice nap. That meal was soooo good that my taste buds slapped my face silly.
Having our three daughters and their families share a sumptuous Thanksgiving meal with us was a joyous blessing. Then our three eldest G-sons (3-4 y.o.!) 'musically' entertained us during the adult dessert session. Plus I received a couple of HT calls that were 'icing on the cake'!
Here's hoping that each and everyone of ya'll were with loved ones. If you weren't, at least know that you were in my 'thanksgiving thoughts'! |

BTW- My buddy, Tom, still had not changed the strings on his 12-er, even though I gave him strings Last Thanksgiving.
Tom brought down his Mom's old Gibson B-25, and I had brought the Sweetwater T...
He heard me playing the Sweet T and got to play it himself.
He says "That is a Nice Guitar!"
I gently reminded him that when I bought my first Ovation he asked me why I didn't get a Real guitar.
He added that he still didn't like the bowl, "But that is Still a Nice Guitar." |
