Northcountry started a thread with "get my eggs in a row". Nice. I hope he did it on purpose. At work we will throw phrases like that at customers to see if they are listening.
"water over the bridge"
"water under the damn"
"If it's in stock, we got it"
And my favorite, "We'll burn that bridge when we get to it"
.
While I'm off topic....A while ago there was a news story about Costco & Sam's Club selling caskets. A radio station interviewed a funeral parlor director for his opinion. He said "Our industry has to start thinking out of the box".
I laughed so hard I almost drove off the road.

Old Habit I have always like to butcher those old sayings. And Eggs in a row works better than Ducks in a Basket. I honestly do not think of who may or may not get the humor anymore I just do it all the time.

It's kinda like not putting the cart before the barn door. Unless it's to keep that dam horse from getting out!

Reminded me of the old story about the BBC radio announcer who, still half asleep, early one morning announced over the airwaves "Good morning, this is the British Broadcorping Castration."

Or the weatherman who predicted "Shattered Scours. Or another who said the fog was "as thick as sea poop"

last year at a 6 hour benefit, our fearless leader before beginning the 5th set said "this set you play rhythm and i'll plead lay". that actually fit perfectly for how tired we all felt and we couldn't stop laughing. the crowd got caught up in it and the last set was full of all of us losing it over and over. turned out the crowd loved it.
