Copy the attached website into your browser and check page four of the 'Monthly Sales' flyer for Daddy's Junky Music (New England based music chain). Not sure who else is selling these POS ripoffs or how many have been imported from some third world Asian rim country with child slave labor! Wonder if the Big O is aware. Nothing is done to end those auctions, although Fender and Gibson don't seem to have a problem getting fleaBay to enforce some dubious infringement claims (search for the earlier thread...or maybe that was on the HFC?).

Odd story I heard about the solidbodies. Japan owned company in a plant in Texas. They built a great guitar, that was selling well and at about $1000, but there wasn't enough profit margin to build it right here in the USA, so they moved the factory (or at least that portion) back to Japan. Sales floped instantly. Same guitar, same people, same materials, same company... fickle us guitarists are.

I also contacted the Ovation Factory by e-mail with the same link in case they were (or maybe not) interested. Get a load of the 2005 cheap copycat roundback bowls, epaulets and roundholes. These things are selling from $300 to $600 each. John L. http://www.dillionguitars.com/guitar/acoustic_electric/
