I was at a GC in Tampa this weekend, standing at the precipice of a major GAS attack (does DiGel help?) when an employee interrupted his siren song of:

"You need any help" - yeah, you can tell me how I'm going to fit all these O-rphans into my VW Golf

"Did you know you can go into this room and try any of these plugged into an amp" - great! Just in case I could fit all these O's into my car, now I gotta find room for an amp too.

He walks over to me and asks, what do you play now? Little did I know the effect of this simple, innocuous sounding query. I replied I have an A'-da-mas. He gives me a withereing look and asks, "Do you mean an a-DA'mas?"

With my mood shattered, my GAS bubble deflated. I left muttering, well its that carbon top one with the smooth sound that's great on the ears yet less emptying to the wallet.

Now I'm filled with Ovation anxiety. Seeking the answer to what kind of guitar do I have? An A'-da-mus or an a-DAH'-mus.

I believe the only person on this board that is actually qualified to answer this question is W2!

Not only is it heritage and history with the Factory, but more importantly, he abides in both a Southern State AND a Northern State which gives him the option of picking and choosing his accent!

uh-DAH-muzz has always worked for moi!

If they put an aluminum neck on it, would it be A-Dominatrix?

Thanks folks, I'll be here all week, two shows at 8 and 10.

Go to the Rick Hall presentation post, and hear a human speak the words. It's towards the end of his presentation. He also pronounces Kaman! Which mirculously I pronounced correctly. Sometimes this southern accent sneaks out and I eat eye-talian food and then there's the country eye-ran.

I was also corrected on the Adamas and Kaman pronunciation. But it doesn't bother me much, because some New Englanders get in their Caa (car)to drive to the airport so they can fly to Cuber (Cuba) It all evens out at some point.
