Hey now,
I was wondering if anyone knew what the bird inlays were on the #47 reissue? I mean what type of birds? And what is that on the 12th fret, I like it, just not sure if it is still a bird or two or have I been looking to long.
And the big question...what does it say on the 16th fret. It sort of looks like,... well It ain't llama.
(lost art vintage has a great large photo to look at)
Thanks mike

I'd say hummingbirds. 2 on the 12th, and the writing looks to be 'Ovation'.

If you look in my gallery at the pics of my SlotHead, y'MIGHT be able to make it out . .

It DOES say "Ovation" at the 16th.

I really wouldn't call the other markers "birds" . .
It's more like a woodcarvers adornment, more "floral" than "avian".

If the Gallery pics aren't clear, I'll try t'find a better pic . . .

It's kind of script - the 't' is small....
or maybe it says 'Carvin"....

I played Clff's last March. Bad move as now I really want an OFC guitar. My wife is highly pissed at Cliff.
