Location: East Tennessee | Hi Tim,
Nice Pics. I go to some of the nursing homes in my area. The people are always appreciative of people coming to visit and music will do more good for them than a lot of the meds they get.
Especially the old hymns.
Have a Great Day. :) |

Location: Vernon, CT | Of course you may also sound better with the more meds they are on too! : ) My ex- is an RN at a Convalescent/Sub-Acute Hospital and the people always appreciate the music. Myself and two friends have done this for 15 years. It's fun too.

Location: Fayetteville, NC | My wife works as an administrative assistant an alocal nursing home. So on three occasions i've gone and done a 35 to 40 minute set for the residents. It's noyt usually my first choice for a gig, but hey they deserve to hear some music too! and it makes them feel really good that someone took the time to comeand sing for them. |

Location: Flushing, MI | Hey Tim, that's a wonderful idea, and soon I will do just that!
My late wife's great grandmother lives in a convalescent home and, at 102 years old, she's in good shape and still has her wits about her. She can tell some stories, let me tell ya! A wonderful, God-fearing woman, and the kids just love her.
I'm going to make it a point to brush up on some old Gospel favorites, and do a little solo acoustic Gospel show there.
GREAT suggestion! |
