Here's a 1674 cutaway Country Artist on ebay. Looks like it could use some work, but with a BIN of $400, shoot it out to the mothership and have the top worked on and modern electronics installed, and you'd have a great guitar for under a grand.

Something to think about....

I'd stay away from this one. I actually bought this exact guitar about 3 weeks ago when the seller had it on eBay as an "almost mint" and "pristine" guitar. At that time he said in his listing and then when I spoke to him on the phone that the guitar top was "perfect." I bought the guitar for $400 and then discovered that there were some serious problems with this guitar. There is a repaired crack in the wood top; there were numerous finish cracks; there has been work on the neck; etc, etc, etc. I called him immediately and asked him if he seriously considered this guitar to be "pristine". He allowed me to return it, but still shafted me for the shipping. At least he corrected the listing a little bit, but still he has no mention of the neck issues and other scuffs and scrapes. In fact, I think the entire guitar top has been refinished. So, buyer...seriously beware this one!

Looks like he has no integrity and no business scruples. Thanks for the warning.
