This is a question that's been posed to me a LOT lately . . . unfortunately, it's been asked with varying degrees of "sarcasm" by various women in my life (Jeanette, my daughter, my ex-wife, barmaids at gigs). . .
Are we talking physically, or mentally/emotionally??
Physically: 49 (as of yesterday). ouch.
Mentally/emotionally: It varies on time of day, and whatever form (and quantity) of "marinade" might be available at the time.
btw Miles;
So far (as I can tell) the new "features" are pretty cool! Great job! Thanks!! |

I was gonna stop by your gig last night, but decided against it with all the snow (d'you guys even play?).
Besides, Jeanette was at home making me dinner, so I opted to do the (ahem) "mature" thing.
. . . this "gettin' old" thing blows! . . |

. . . this "gettin' old" thing blows! . . Actually we decided to pull the plug last night. It takes me 45 minutes to get to that place in good weather (with traffic). That's a bit to far for me to go in a snow storm. |

Are there only old farts in this Fan Club???
Where are all the rest of the young 20-something, free spirited, guitar people?
(Says Erlend while he's shivering by the fear of turning 30 this year). |

Take a trip to the nearest home for elderly people and find out how much wisdom you get out of their alzheimer-brains.
And the older you get, the slower your fingers move, your hair starts turning grey, rinkles start showing up in your face....
Nah....I think I'll stick to being 29 for a decade or two more. And honestly, I still feel like I'm 22. :) |

I've seen through the hype and I believe that if you old farts just wanna hang around other old farts instead of including younger people and introducing the wonderfull world of the O's to the next generations, the wonderfull world of O's will go with all of you into your graves.
No wonder no younger people wanna join this board if everyone here thinks the way you do Willard... I think this board should be all about including people, not horassing them just becasue they have played a different guitar up untill now. |

The number of people who have responded so quickly, and the actual result. I really thought the higher demographic would be the 30somethings, but... again, it's still early.
Polls can be easily over used, but at the same time can provide some excellent statistics over time.
Lets not burnout on the new toy in one day. We're not going anywhere. |

I was going to add the comment that maybe the reason so many of us are older is that our hearing sucks and we think Ovations actually sound good. |

| We got a new barber in our village. He's young, trendy and has a haircut that must take 2 people 3 weeks to do. He cut my hair. He asked mr did I want my eyebrows trimming. He asked me if I wanted my ears "doing".
He asked me "What skin regime do you use?"
Is there an answer not involving profanity? |
