My OFC site has changed!!!
I like the quick replay feature.
It will be interesting to see how far we take the voteing thing. Can we start a poll or just the adminstraters?
What else is new?

I like the features, but is it supposed to jump to the reply box on the last page before I've even had a chance to read the posts? I thought (enter a name here) was the only one who responded to posts without reading them. ;)

Thanks,
I like this "quick reply" too. Polls are fun and they take up a lot less space than a thread that invariably strays off topic so far that the person asking the question even forgets what the question is.
I'm learning about some of the other features myself. Just being able to move a group of topics to another folder (for The Vault) as example was a great help to me. Saved hours of time.

Waskel,

I see what you mean. I guess if you use the "show me latest posts" it's making the assumption that you read often and just want to see the latest. If you want to start at the begining, unless I find out different, you can just click the "Bulletin Board" link at the left, and that enables you to go to any particular page of threads that span multiple pages.

I really do like the Quick Reply tho...

We should make an unwritten yet binding agreement amoung ourselves that this poll feature be used for music related questions only. There are some things I just don't want to know! ;)

Miles-
you're right, it does work going thru the bulletin board link. I hadn't tried it because I usually read every day, and just use the 'get plugged in' link.
Not a criticism, I just need to get used to it. It's good for old dogs to learn new tricks.

I appreciate the effort that must have gone into the updates. Good job all involved!

I will greive the loss of what I saw when I hit the "Get Plugged in" section - because I am a frequent flyer and only needed to see the last inputs. Like cheap gas,I will get over it.

I like the idea of polls. There will be spurts of usage and true depth and meaning to them I am sure!

Haven't seen the Archive Yet but it is a good idea!

Go ahead and double my subscription price if you will!

Mwoody,
Actually the "get plugged in" results are the latest posts just like before. The archive can be found by clicking on "Bulletin Board" on the left and choosing "The Vault"

enjoy and thanks.

I've heard they don't like you much either. I suppose you have a thing about the Checks and Danes as well?

I just found something for MWoody and others.

If you click the "get plugged in" OFC logo to get the "daily" listings... the little blue down arrow brings you to the 1st page of the refered thread, where the "subject/link" will bring you to the last page of the thread....

pretty cool I thought.

Funny thing is that when I hover over the blue down arrow the alt text says 'go to newest posts'. Yet it works backwards. The title takes me to the last post in the thread, and the down arrow takes me to the beginning. Weird. Or maybe I'm just clicking wrong. :)

And considering that most distributions resemble a bell curve, most won't move at all. :)

Perhaps someone mentioned it before and I missed it, but did anybody click on the "DIRECTORY" feature??
(It's up at the top between "my profile" and "search").
That . . . . is WAY Cool!

Point of Interest:
If you look at the Directory based on Number of Posts (in descending order), it lists ALL of the Members over 159 pages.
Pages 86 - 159 are Members who made ZERO posts . . .

Never saw that Directory sitting there. Only 1918 posts and I bump Templeman off the list! :D

What can I say. Ever since I've gone back to being a wage slave I find I have copious amounts of free time.
