Had a fair amount of discussion on it, seen the pictures of # 47 (some lucky ones have even seen it), know about what the price will be, etc.

How many are committed to ordering one?

As I have mentioned in other threads, I really like the redburst finish on #47. Don't have anything in the stable that is even remotely that color.

For me, when deciding between the OFC guitar and #47, the color availability on the OFC will be one of the determining factors. If I can't get the OFC with the redburst, then I will go with #47. If OFC will be available in the red, then I will have to closely look at each before deciding which way to go.

Wish I could do both, but just not feasible or a financially sound decision on my part.

I voted "no plans to order," but ONLY because I know it's gonna be out of my league price wise, plus I imagine there will be no leftys available. Should be a great addition for those of you that are going for it!

This is not gonna be a guitar that everybody is going to buy. It will be expensive. I'm selling some guitars to make room and create cash for it. Anybody interested in either a Preacher 12 string or a Deluxe Balladeer?

Well I certainly would like an OFC guitar. Seems only proper.

my understanding is that it is a -8 (blue) only...enough of a hassle for the factory as it will be a VERY limited run.

main difference, as I see it, is that the # 47 is acoustic, OFC will be a/e (two knob) - I am sure Al will correct me if I am wrong.

I agree with Jeff. I would love to have one, but I my budget certainly wont allow for it. I have read multiple threads in regards to the OFC guitar, but have yet to stumble across any pictures...I already have a pretty good mental picture of what it will look like, though. If there are any links to what they do or might look like, I love to see them posted!!!

Tony,
I guess that is what puzzles me. If the OFC guitar is basically #47 with the 2-knob electronics, why not redburst. Seems to me the only hassle is changing the color to blue!

Add $7.95 for a can of Krylon!

I would love one, but price is intimidating. For what it costs I can buy 4-5 of the excellant guitars you all are liquidating to get yours!

Paul, throw your Preacher 12 on ebay with a nosebleed reserve. I'm curious what it would fetch.

Paul,
That is my point. If OFC is essentially #47 with 2 knob electronics, then it seems that they could make a redburst as easily (actually easier) than a blueburst.....so why not offer both?

...and charge you guys who want blue extra for the added effort :D

Serious dilema. I don't like std neck width, don't like a/e, and don't like red. What/'s a poor boy to do ???

What I would REALLY like to order would be two matching black 12-fret slotheads (U681-T5). Both 1-3/4 neck width, both acoustic only, one 6 string and one 12 string. Talk about a SET.

Dave, that would be sweet. I could also go for that matched pair.

Normally I am not a big fan of the red ones but I do like the revese redburst on #47 and don't have anything like it in my collection. I do have a beautiful blueburst 1681 which I guess is one reason I would like to try the red out for a change.

I just got a 2005 collectors from Al last week and have my sights (and on order)the black 12 fret Adamas that comes out in the first quarter. Al just emailed about it to be sure he has enough on order so they must be coming soon! With these 2 new ones I really can't justify or afford another for quite a while.

4th quarter is 9 months away.

In my book, that is "quite a while"!
