I have a Fitzroy Banjo Ukulele, given to me over 40 years + ago by my grandmother.

I know nothing about this instrument, but there seems to be plenty of Uke activity, so someone may know more about it.

Thanks

Piers,

I took a look and came up empty. Fitzroy isn't in the Orion Bluebook either. Can you offer any pics, labels, names or other clues?

I'm surprised Master Templeman hasn't chimed in by now . . . .

MWoody,

I have tried copying in a photo and can't make that work. I have also tried to upload to my photo OFC album. No luck.

How do you copy a photo onto the Bulletin Board ?

The photo won't upload if its too big and you can only drop in pics that reside on the web already.

email me the pic at woodfordm@xxxxxxxxxxx

Made in the UK, late 1920's, not uncommon & not worth a lot of money, £30-40 maybe. I've seen at least 1 Fitzroy Mandolin Banjo, which is another pretty common curiosity from the British banjo boom.

Thanks Paul

It can go back into the loft where it came from. It never stays in tune, which led me to believe that it was pretty cheap. It was given to me when I was about 8 years old, now 53, so it's an old friend.

By the way, I did not find a G9 cappo in Canterbury.
