...the Celebrity CC165 12 string? I have a chance to get one fairly cheap but cannot find anything about it, even on the O website. Whatever you could tell me would be great.

Thanks

If it feels good (neck, action, etc) do it. I have played a friend's Applause 12 string and it has the unmistakable Ovation neck feel and action despite some of the compromises in construction.

If it is a good deal get it! I would want to play it first though.

I have a CC65. How cheap are you buying? I have been considering selling mine.

Of all my 12 strings, it is the easiest to play (action wise). Very pretty guitar. Great neck. The only beef I have with mine is that it doesn't seem to have very much low end punch. The high end harmonics are beautiful, but you have to turn the bass way up to get a decent low end response.

Overall it is a nice twelve string. The one I have is in excellent condition, and again, a very nice looking guitar. If you are going to pay around 250.oo I'd go for it. If you are looking at spending 300.00 plus, I'd seek out a USA model (like a Pacemaker) from a board member, or ebay!

Good Luck Bro!

Thanks for the info guys. The owner just sent me a couple of pictures and claims that it's in excellent condition and by the pictures it looks to be true. He's asking $200, which I guess, is a good price. No shipping because we live in the same city. However my wife and I are about to embark on placing a bid on some land today and I don't think she's going to go for me spending a dime. She had one of those "financial discussions" with me last night so it looks like I think I'll be saving change for a while just to buy strings. I think moving to the country will be worth it.
If anyone is interested in the guitar I'll pass on the information to you.
