My friend wants to sell me his Ovation Glen Campbell 1627, about how much should I pay for it do you think? He says it is in perfect condition. Thanks! |

Location: boulder | Hi,
Maybe you could go to ebay and search completed sales of 1627's, as well as any active auctions. What does your friend mean by perfect condition? Here's what I would 'look' for; are there any finish cracks?, are the frets in decent shape (worn alot ,a little, not at all), Is the neck straight, is the bridge pulling up?, do the electronics work?
But really it is the sound that makes a guitar and that is a more personal. Do you like the tone of the guitar, does it feel good to play, play it , then maybe play some othres. But for not to much money, a 1627 would be cool. I have a 1127 that I like. hope it helps, mike |
