I have this old Korean made Ovation Model 4681 that I know nothing at all about. Does anyone have any information on this one?

I think you mean 4861, which is a ss balladeer. Solid spruce top. Ovation moved some of the Balladeer production over to Korea for a while.

Good guitar. US production moved to Korea for about six months...from Ovation's website:

Balladeer

Model 4861 Specifications:

Sunburst
OP-24+

Three decade after its introduction the Balladeer still figures prominently in Ovation history. The solid spruce top, OP-24 preamp and super shallow cutaway body give it the sonic flexibility to tackle tough venues with ease. For the working guitarist who needs a high performance acoustic/electric that's reliable, durable and good-looking, the Balladeer is still the one.

...Been meaning to ask you this for a while: What rivers you do guide? I am an avid fly angler. Been fishing all over the world, but Alaska...I know...but, I ain't dead yet, can't do everything at once, and it's on the list of things to do.

Next up is a Gulf coast Tarpon excursion in May. In between my little home stream, Passage creek, is ten minutes from my front door

Jeff W-
I normally guide on rivers and streams that have been "producing lately" if ya know what I mean... It depends on what our targeted species for the day is too. We have some nice places we go for grayling, other places for char, and still other places for rainbows and salmon. My range extends from Talkeetna to the Kenai. Due to some health issues this year I will not be guiding. This means I get to fish this year for myself. That also means that since I'm not guiding I can fish where ever I want (no permits needed for personal fishing). I am a fly fishing nut also. Maybe if you can get up here we can hook up and I'll take you out for a day or two in trade for a guitar lesson or two. I can fish WAY better than I can play guitar!

AFG,
Me Too.
I will be getting up that way in the next few years. I will give you a hollar, let you know of impending arrival. I'm likely to get the better end of the fly guide/guitar lesson trade but hell, fish the days, strum the nights... can't get much better.
Any steelhead runs?...not that salmon, char and DV's won't do.

Hope the health issues improve!!! But it got to be nice to get some fishing for yourself in...We always encourage our guides to fish along with us... they don't have to hold our hand
