Location: Hastings, Michigan | What do you think about the Adamas on ebay (item 730804532) with a "It needs some work on the bridge, which would not be too costly, just needs time in the shop to bring it back to new." How about internal braces also seperating? If you want to look at (seller) Montana Rush try; http://www.mediadamage.com/cart/ct_products.cfm?CAT_id=7 |

Location: Midland, MI | Welcome to the OFC, Andrew. I know next to nothing about Adamas (do they make a uke?), but you could always contact the Ovation service department and see if they could give you an estimate on repairing a lifted bridge. Compared to the value of an Adamas, I'd think the cost would be relatively low. But, like I said...
Oh, or you could just drive a couple of big honkin' sheet metal screws into the wings of the bridge...a little DIY project!! Someone get MWoody over here, I have an idea... :)
Welcome! |

gee, this one might be interesting. |

Location: Midland, MI | 7 feedbacks? When I looked at the link Noah put up, the seller only has four feedbacks (well, five, but two are from the same seller), they were all for items purchased, and the most expensive one was $49.95.
Now, it could be a legitimate auction/seller. But, I'd be getting a phone number, some pictures, and a serial number for the guitar before I bid on it (not that I would bid on it, but..) |

Location: Hastings, Michigan | I emailed the lady, she says "Now the bridge is laying flat. It is the neck that has lifted slightly." Serial numbers are "I would say *S* 4459. What do you guys think of that? I would love an Adamas 12 string (that I could afford).

NO!
No pictures, no realistic description, built on the Fame of who?
Hang around this board and you will find an Adamas 12 without issues for under $1000, no problem!
Hang around a little more and you may find an Adamas 12 or Custom Legend 12 for around $800.
Tell us more about what or where you play. Take part in the dialogue and before long opportunity will happen. This is a great place place where all the members look after each other! |

By the way, I wouldn't bid on the item either. |

Location: Hastings, Michigan | Thanks guys for the good advice - I don't want to get a bucket of troubles. Mwoody asked what I play; Mostly I play in church, but play a few local (free) gigs per year. I love to play Beatles, and Pop, and sometimes I get out my old Gibson SG and rock. I play only fine guitars, and I want to get a 12 string. Ovation is the only guitar that has a strong enough neck for a 12 string (in my opinion). I liked the OP50 electronics with the LOW-Z output (never have a low battery) and the on-board tuner (with 12 strings). |

Now have the as-new 6759 Custom Legend (natural) 12-str back. |

Location: Hastings, Michigan | Thanks for the tip MWoody, Hey Tony, cool Legend guitar. Are you interested in a Line 6 Spider Modeling Amp? It's got a cool deep tupe sound as one of the models, but I confess, I plug my electric into it until my ears hurt.
Hastings is between Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids (way to the left-West of Nashville) Michigan. |
