With such a high number, I feel like I must be a latecomer to the 1537 club. |

I have seen about three on the internet belonging to different non-OFC folks. Maybe one or two that somehow made it to japan, but on websites I couldn't read, only see that someone owned them. Does Jerome know of any in Europe? Peace mike |

You should send it to me for review. Only after a thorough, and what I am sure would be a necessarily lengthy evaluation, could we possibly determine suitablity for inclusion in the list.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your fingers. Unfortunate.. and even more so as a guitar player. Any thoughts about batting lefty again and using the right hand on the neck?
Hope you have healed well. |

No excuse to give up. Tony Iommi, one of the metal pioneers had a very similar injury and almost gave up guitar.
Instead he made metal tips to wear on his fingers and went on to form Black Sabbath. |

Location: hatzic lake, bc, canada. | You have to take into account that Tony Iommi, started out with more talent in his pinky finger than i'll ever have.I think at age 54 to try and play left handed i'd be 97 yrs old by the time i'd mastered the 4 chords i know now.And hey it's not so bad i'll start playing slide on the Tele, you never know i may get good at it. |

It is possible some of those guitars have concealed damage.....being in storage and all, and never having been opened.
Let me be the first to offer my services as a guitar checker-outer to make sure everything is ok. I don't think it would take more than 6-12 months with each guitar to give it a proper going over. |

Location: 6 String Ranch | PlayAdamas, I would consider the WTA to be the proto of the 1537. It is different in the ring construction but the objective and purpose in building them was the same. The WTA proced too hard to produce so the design evolved to the 1537
There were a small amount of the WTA guitars made, less than ten I think. Then the two protos (mine and Glen's) and then production. |

If you ever get a 1537, you'll be in high hog heaven! It won't replace your GC DB. It's a different sound altogether. I apologize up front for the analogy (I didn't come up with this, Goober did), but the GC DB is like a D-18, the 1537 like a D-28. But better. One's brighter, ones deeper. Both great. |

Location: Nova Scotia, Canada | Don't dispair yet, Noah...in these cross-border transactions, often the paperwork is sent ahead of the guitar and the package has to catch up with it. I makes it confusing when trying to track. Also, holdups for custom clearance (especially post 9/11) are common.

But along its journey from Montreal, #302447 was obviously handled incorrectly.
UPS finally found it in their Salt Lake City Overgoods Warehouse (Lost & Found) without any shipping documents or labels on or in the box.
I had told them it was in its original KAMAN box. Along with its model# & serial#, they were able to confirm that they had found it. :)
UPS International said that the box was damaged and it would be repacked.
They got it here overnight. It arrived in the original box which was not damaged  , but obviously resealed numerous times. |
