Hi,

Did you ever seen something like that???
It seems to be a "home made" guitar!!
I've found these photos on a Japanese shop web site.
I've sent an email to the seller for more information but i'm worse in Japanese than in English...
I'm not sure to have a reply.

I like it! Betcha Alpep could tell you what it is...he seems to have a few 'export only' models in his inventory. Let us know if you here anything back on it.

I doubt if this is an "export only" model. It's a Celebrity neck. I would guess that it's a home project where somebody took a Celeb and put a different top on it.

Two questions. What's it sound like? And, did the Factory miss an opportunity to design/style a top like this?

celebrity neck
kinda strange because it is opposite of an ovation. that is the sound holes in the lower bout instead of by the fingerboard.
I never heard of this model, my guess is that is was home made.
not sure how it would sound since the ovation is designed as a flat top not carved top.
and not sure how it would work with traditional straight archtop bracing.

Hi,

I've found more information.
This is not a Home Made guitar!!!
It's a Celebrity CS282F-WT2 "F" Hole Arch Top from 2002.
Perhaps is there someone from Japan who can give us more information???

It just goes to show you, give enough options and soon enough somebody will use them all.

After seeing these pictures, it seems to me that the Ovation peghead is the perfect match to the archtop style. Everything just flows throughout the guitar. It would be beautiful in black.
