Location: Dayton, Ohio | it's true, at least usually. women's bodies are curvy and have bulges that men don't have to think about. (although i think most straight ones think about them an awful lot, just not in the way i'm refering to.) this is why, after playing my dad's ovations, settling for a regular guitar was so hard for me. it doesn't feel right. ovations feel like they were made for my body. this is also a reason that i, and perhaps other women out there (and men with bitch-tits?) may prefer shallow bowls. i hate to see them completely do away with shallow bowls for that reason. |

Miss a week, miss a lot. Check out the mid vs. shallow thread for the contour bowl discussion. The logic of this board is what keeps us all coming back.
MWoody,
Nice try, this group is something like intellectual Brownian Motion. Problem seems to be locating regions of higher intellectual concentration. Though the high part seems to be a done deal. |

You know, persephone is a mythological character who spends half her life in hell. She was kidnapped by the king of hades ... and well the story is really horrific. A chronically unhappy person living a life of dread. I'm just saying it seems weird. |

And perhaps those that suffer from it don't exactly think it's a laughing matter? Should we also make fun of people with cancer, acne, diabetes, birth defects? Sorry to be such a kill-joy about this. But, there's a fine line bewteen humor and insensitivity, and I think we're dangerously close to crossing it. My choice was to ignore this thread or give my opinion. Just like all other threads, you got my opinion. Dave |

It never crossed my mind that we were doing that. Just speaking from personal experience, in that I lost a lot of weight over last Summer, and the first place it disappeared was from my man-boobs (bitch-tits, whichever). Now I've started putting some ahem "insulation" back on, guess where it's re-appeared... right.
I'm not claiming that it's medical or not, I just know that my shirts are tighter when I'm fat. And just for the record, I didn't take offence. I'm sure that none was intended by anyone.
Interestingly enough, Persphone's title of this thread was precisely what I was trying not to say in her other topic (towards the end of "Mid vs Shallow bowl"). I do try to be subtle.

Of the cds and dvds I've heard from her, I don't love all her stuff, but I do admire her a whole lot. She's got guts, serious business smarts, she's unique, independent, and VERY creative, has interesting lyrics, and she plays the hell out of that guitar. Her technique is outrageous.

| Must be the Breast thing that got me to actually read through this thread?? Does not say much for my character now does it? Interesting thoughts about the Ovations fitting a Woman's shape. I find my Ovations "fit or nonfit" have little to do with my Chest area but when I gain a few pounds around the belly The Guitar tends to tip so I can see the strings better when I play standing up?? I can see where a Womans body would be more comfortable under the Breast area using an Ovation though. We have a bold female member hear! And we love it! And as close to being non "G" rated for our younger members this post may become..... She has a very important and perhaps even a very good selling point to make concerning the round back design of the Ovations! As for "Man Boobs" I do not have that problem but, I do notice, as I age I get cranky at least once a month now?
Al Before you delete that first post let us see it.. It would be of curious interest to see what started all of this! and yeah if it will save you room go through and start deleteing.
